The Mayor's Great Spaces Initiative has been set up to ensure that public space projects are excellently designed and that the right resources are in place to drive forward their delivery to the highest standard. It will help transform some of London's recognised and lesser known streets, squares, parks and riverside walks into places Londoners and visitors will want to use and enjoy all year round. The initiative is part of London's Great Outdoors, the Mayor's vision to transform the everyday experience of London's outdoor spaces and improve public space across London.
This event will showcase in detail three case studies from the Initiative: Barking Town Square, Sutton High Street and Rainham to the River. You can find the video link of all presentations on this page. The afternoon session will give a brief update on the other projects and hopes to provide a forum to share ideas and discuss some of the common issues faced. You can find the video link to the showcase sessions here. For a detailed programme click here and an update on the projects click here.
